Washing Guide

How should I take care of indigo-dyed clothes?

Pre-Washing: Before wearing your indigo-dyed clothes for the first time, we recommend washing them separately in cold water to prevent any potential bleeding of the dye. Adding a cup of vinegar to the wash can aid in setting the dye and minimizing fading.

Washing: To maintain the vibrancy of indigo-dyed clothes, avoid washing them too frequently. When washing, use cold water and a mild detergent to preserve the color and fabric quality.

Drying: To prevent shrinkage and maintain the shape of indigo-dyed garments, avoid using the dryer. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water and air dry by hanging or laying flat.

Ironing: If ironing is necessary, use a low temperature setting and place a pressing cloth over the fabric to protect it from direct heat, which can affect the dye.

Storage: Store indigo-dyed clothes away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent UV exposure, as prolonged exposure can cause the dye to fade over time.
